Who are you looking for?
There are always cats in our care needing new homes - male, female, black, white, tabby, tortie, shorthair, longhair, young and old!
Why not telephone Sue on 01962 883536 and see who needs a home right now? If you are leaving a message, please speak clearly and succinctly and give any phone numbers first, and repeat them - quite often these are unintelligible if given quickly on a poor line.
CP policy requires us to do a home-visit before we can allow anyone to adopt one of our cats. Please always telephone us in the first instance. If you do not actually live in Winchester, please check to see if we are your most local branch.
All cats that come to us undergo a variety of veterinary treatment. All receive a general checkup and are bloodtested if necessary. Before we rehome them, cats are neutered or spayed and microchipped. If their annual vaccine injections have not been kept up the first injection will be done - the second will be paid for by Cats Protection if the cat is taken to the same vet (this requirement is only for the second part of the vaccine, there is no requirement for a new owner to continue to use the same vet practice). All cats and kittens are rehomed with a free 4-week insurance policy.
Cats Protection now ask for a fee when we home a cat. If you feel able to make an additional donation to aid us further in our work we would be very grateful. If you would like to know more about Adoption Fees please click here to download a Cats Protection leaflet (.pdf file).
We're taking cats in all the time and don't always have photos quickly. Give Sue a call to chat about the latest arrivals and check back for photos shortly.
Please note we do not have a local shelter. Cats are cared for by volunteer fosterers around the area and specific arrangements must be made to view any particular cat. When calling to make arrangements to view please remember that our fosterers are making the time available from their own busy lives, and we cannot therefore arrange multiple visits for various members of the family.
FERALS - We are trapping and neutering at a local farm at present. If you are looking for working cats for your farm or stable, please get in touch with Sue.
Looking for homes right now!
Lovely black semi long haired female, about 3 years old. She's very friendly and loves lots of affection and human company, always watching what's going on. This is a cat who enjoys plenty of interactive play and would quite like a safe garden to go in. She is very sweet natured so would probably be fine to live with school age children but would be better as the only pet in the house.
Jasper is 9 months old. He loves to play, doesn't mind other cats but would be best with older children.
These sisters are 7 months old and looking for a home together.
We still have several kittens looking for homes.
Gizmo and Rocky are 4-5yrs old male cats looking for a home together. Both are friendly and enjoy company.
Suki is a very friendly 4yr old smallish black male cat with a big purr.
If you can offer a home to any of the above, please telephone Sue on 01962 883536.
(We prefer you to telephone if you can; emails may be delayed.)
