Who are you looking for?
There are always cats in our care needing new homes - male, female, black, white, tabby, tortie, shorthair, longhair, young and old!
Why not telephone Sue on 01962 883536 and see who needs a home right now? If you are leaving a message, please speak clearly and succinctly and give any phone numbers first, and repeat them - quite often these are unintelligible if given quickly on a poor line.
CP policy requires us to do a home-visit before we can allow anyone to adopt one of our cats. Please always telephone us in the first instance. If you do not actually live in Winchester, please check to see if we are your most local branch.
All cats that come to us undergo a variety of veterinary treatment. All are bloodtested and receive a general checkup. Before we rehome them, cats are neutered or spayed and microchipped. If their annual vaccine injections have not been kept up the first injection will be done - the second will be paid for by Cats Protection if the cat is taken to the same vet (this requirement is only for the second part of the vaccine, there is no requirement for a new owner to continue to use the same vet practice). All cats and kittens are rehomed with a free 4-week insurance policy.
We always ask for a donation when homing cats. Please bear in mind the above costly treatment that we have incurred to ensure the cat is healthy and the cost of having the cat in care for several weeks.
We're taking cats in all the time and don't always have photos quickly. Give Sue a call to chat about the latest arrivals and check back for photos shortly.
Please note we do not have a local shelter. Cats are cared for by volunteer fosterers around the area and specific arrangements must be made to view any particular cat.
15th July - we have kittens! Some available now, with some to be homed in a few weeks. Please give Sue a call if you are interested.
IMPORTANT: if you are going to take a holiday shortly, please contact us once you have returned.
Looking for homes right now!
Special home sought for Ambrose
Ambrose is a very handsome ginger and white male about 5 years old.
Once Ambrose gets to know you, he's very forthcoming with his affections and loves a cuddle! He doesn't sit on your lap like most cats but likes to climb right up, give you a head-butt in the face and then paw you left and right for ages with a big purr purr purr.
Ambrose doesn't take kindly to hands waved in his face and reacts quickly so he's not suited to live with young children, but he is very quick at catching those toy mice and he'd love a garden to play in. He would suit someone who can be patient and attentive enough to figure out his quirks and he'll be a very happy cat with a very happy owner.

Jaffa is a large friendly neutered male, used to a countryside home, caged birds and rats (!) but not very good with other cats.
Coco is a 4 yr old black female, a bit shy to start with but once she gets to know you she is very friendly, would suit a quieter home without other animals.
Pickles and Twinkle are both 4 and are sisters who must be homed together. They would be OK with older children.

Fizzy is 5 yrs old. She could be homed with other cats, and school aged children.
Ollie is 3, he is friendly.
Milo is 3, he is friendly.
Molly is 5, she is friendly.
Max is around 4 months old. He is a very lovely short-haired grey tabby/white neutered male. He is very friendly and incredibly talkative, and is looking for a home where he will be the centre of attention at all times!
These two kittens are brother and sister, about 11 weeks old. We are looking for a home where they can stay together as they adore each other.

We have two other pairs of kittens; 2 males and 2 females, around 3½ months.
Also looking for homes are Charlie, a friendly 6½ year old black male, and Davina, a very shy but lovely 1 year old black/white female.
We have other cats available, some in pairs - give us a call!
If you can offer a home to any of the above, please telephone Sue on 01962 883536.
(We prefer you to telephone if you can; emails may be delayed.)
